[Krimel to SA]
I am sorry if I gave the impression that I seem to "cautiously step
back"
from mysticism. I had hoped to make it clear that I thumb my nose, turn
my
back and walk away from it.

At a philosophy club meeting in Boston last week the topic was
naturalism
and mysticism. It was interesting because the naturalists seem agreeable
to
the idea that mystics have meaningful personal experiences and the
mystics
seemed to agree that these experiences probably offer nothing definitive
to
say about the nature of reality. Even I could buy that. There are no
doubt
very nice health benefits to be obtained from martial arts, yoga and tai
chi
exercises. I don't doubt for a second that meditation and relaxation
have a
positive impact on mental health. But the same can be said about tennis
and
speaking in tongues.

[Krimel]
I offered up a quote not long ago. I forget exactly how it went and
where I
got it but it went something like: "It is not possible to know
everything
about anything but it is possible to know more about anything."

Ron:
And that is what Martial arts is all about. To know more about
everything.
They teach to do this with your entire being. "Live each day as though
your
Hair is on fire" is the saying. The idea is to get everything working in
Harmony, mind, body, spirit and extend it into every thing you do.

The body is the mind, culture flexibility in both and you learn about
the
Abilities of both, those who know their full potential have more tools
To deal with what DQ throws down the pike. On all levels.

Not merely exercise but a way of life.
