[Platt]
Of course, you're knowledgeable> What a laugh.

[Arlo]
About "postmodernism"? You betcha. Albeit there are many more knowledgeable
than I. You, however, demonstrate nothing but willful ignorance on the topic,
proven by your own words.

[Platt]
Do you also disagree with following?

[Arlo]
With Pirsig's own qualification, "given a value-centered Metaphysics of
Quality", yes. But the MOQ is simply the best we have now, I do not consider it
to be Absolute Truth for All Time, and I doubt Pirsig would either. Its always
"one person talking at one point in time".

[Platt]
Isn't there a great deal of preparation required to stand on hot burning coals
without getting burned?

[Arlo]
Maybe, so what? The point is that the same experience you find "low quality"
may be considered "high quality" by another.

[Platt]
Do you mean for all people for all time?

[Arlo]
I mean biologically the human body responds more-or-less similarly to inorganic
stimuli. But there are still variations. There are documented cases of people
who have no "hunger" sense, they would unknowingly starve to death if no one
else intervened.

[Platt]
He was probably drugged out of his mind.

[Arlo]
Proof?
