That's OK Steve, so long as when you say that, you appreciate that
that intellectual description of the MoQ is a SOMist Intellectual
description of it ... which is Bo's point ... ie when you say that,
you are treating intellect and SOMism as the same thing.

You have simply re-stated the problem Steve.

I choose to treat the MoQ as its-reality-in-use in the real world (not
as debated by philosophologists, as Pirsig might say). Any description
of it is a pale substitute for the real thing.

The point I make is that no amount of dialectical discussion will free
us from that choice. I have got comfortable with that, some haven't,
and still believe the dialectic can be bottomed out on that SOMist
intellectual basis. Doh ! it can't, by definition. MoQ really is
lived, and not defined.

I also (rather perversely, I'll grant you) say that the recursion in
that argument is the clincher that the MoQ correctly reflects reality,
but that's another Hofstaderian story.
