Arlo to Andre on Mar 15:

"Man" exists at the end of a long string of subsequent "probability fields"
(to steal Krimel's term), but in the end owes his existence to chance, not
some pre-ordered plan or intentional deliberation of a "Qualigod".

Arlo to Andre 'now':
This is the point about "chance", there is "probability" something
will occur (which increases vastly as one approaches the dynamic
moment.. example, the chance of me pressing "t" after typing "momen"
are about as near 100% as you can get. But the chance a few years
back that I'd be pressing the "t" key in just that second were as
close to 0% as you could get), but never any predestined "plan".

Andre:

Hi Arlo, and thank you for this explanation of the way you interpret
'chance'. I do think we basically agree. I think I started the response to
this thread stating I did not believe in chance. And I think you have just
proven this.

Linking your two quotes, I now see the problem I have with 'chance':

'Man' does exist at the end of a long string of subsequent probability
fields but, then you conclude that he owes his existence to chance, as
distinct from some pre-ordered plan.
My point is still that chance has nothing to do with this, but much more
with the long string of subsequent 'probability fields' (to use your words),
within the context of an (MoQ) evolving universe.

This is the LINK and, for me has nothing pre-ordered/ordained/planned/
intention... whatever. This link is seen 'in hind-sight'..and after this you
get questions about the REASON of it all. Why are we here etc, etc.

And in the example of the plane crashing, similar questions are asked How
could this have happend? And then, as you accurately point out, where does
one stop looking for answers...in hind-sight. And the cut-off points are
arbitrary decisions. IMHO.
As Marsha says: all is patterns, ever changing, interacting, interlinked.

If I have misunderstood something somewhere along the line Arlo, let me
know.

Arlo:
I am also hoping to produce some web video this year of our run to the
Vietnam Memorial (as well as some other rides we take). If I do, I'll post a
link.

Andre:
Sounds very impressive. Yes, do post the link.

Andre
