There's an interesting parallel found in a koan where the monk says that
fear of death is wrong because death is like an ice-crystal melting back
into the vast ocean that was its source.
Sometimes I think that comparing reality in its entirety to an analogue
is not correct, because you're attributing part of reality to complete
reality.
