Many users use http://herald.ox.ac.uk (written by one of our Computing Services staff) which doesn't support LDAP (and probably couldn't, given its design criteria.) The others would probably say "No, not _that_ John Jones!" a lot. This is a silly argument, anyway. We are happy without LDAP. End of story. Gerv
