Sorry, I have to side with inixielab here. You (conveniently?) omitted
the fact that you were in contact with the seller for a custom item,
that was incidentally expertly produced. You did not mention that you
had a direct line of communication with the seller. You did not mention
whether you reached out after you didn't hear back. Yet, you writing
publicly here on neonixie-l, where a lot of people can read these kind
of insinuations, seemed like a good idea to you.
And then you mention "But I am the bad guy who did something wrong." Hmm.
Best regards

I started working with nixie tubes in 1990. At that time there were
still lots of National Electronics ones around.
When in Phoenix, AZ on a business trip in 1998, I drove over to
Antique Electronic supply and bought out their entire stock
of National nixies. Lots of NL-807 tubes in that bunch. Then in
1999-2000 I started buying up B-7971 tubes so i could build
the scrolling text array that uses 16 of them. Have enough of those
to make another group of 8 to eventually make a 24- tube scrolling array.
Plenty of spares. Those cost $10 each then. So it is with just
over 30 years of nixification under my belt that I now write this.
Things are getting rather weird I have to say, what with all of the
up-and-coming "new" manufacturers and with strong doses of plenty of drama
to go with it along the way. But who am I to say it? I just
wanted to test one of the new tubes. That is all I wanted to do I
swear it.

I ordered a DGM01 and it arrived in a couple of weeks as far as I
can remember, the tube is lovely. I am now working on a custom
tube project with the same manufacturer and so far have not had
any comms issue though I would agree that their web site does not
give the impression of being much of an e-commerce oriented thing
at the moment. I note that they are using ShopPay for payments but
I guess that does not provide any tracking updates etc. Perhaps
it may at some future point.
I suspect that their skills and focus are mostly in the area of
nixie tube development for which I would give them much praise as
that is where the future is going to be for our hobby. I have
tracked the general price trend of nixies over just the last 8
years (as that is how long ago I developed an interest) and it
seems to continue to spiral skywards as demand increases and
supply, well, it's going to dry up some day!
I do hope that Inixielab (and anyone else doing the same) continue
with their development and make a commercial success of it (and
get to the point of having a real e-commerce site!).

High drama. Caused by a failure to communicate. Of course I
get painted as the bad guy. It always happens that way.
I am used to it. However, fortunately, this only happens in
way less than 1% of my transactions. To everyone reading this,
think what you will. I have done nothing wrong, given the
nature of this situation. It was caused by an unfortunate
lack of proper
communication. Yes. I agree. The entire ordeal is
OUTRAGEOUS. From start to finish. Had I known it was going
to turn out like this
I would have not touched it with a ten foot pole! Beautiful
looking tubes. Great looking web site. But no customer
login nor order status available.
Paypal does not work. Credit card only. Last I heard and
understood everything was ready. Then an entire 7 days of
complete silence ensued
after the payment was made via credit card. Somehow when the
money showed up, then communication suddenly stopped.
But I am the bad guy who did something wrong. Gentlemen, is
that not high drama right there? I rest my case. -Chuck

Here's a chat from a week ago, you mentioned that you
needed a test board and I promised to make one for free
and send it to you after I learned of your need. And I
have told you that it will take some time to produce the
PCB, and you have replied that it is not urgent (THERE IS
NO HURRY AT ALL!!!!!!!!). After I draw the corresponding
PCB, it will take me three days to produce it, and it will
take me three days to mail it to my home. After I receive
it, I have to do some simple soldering and testing. If you
receive it, you should see it as a PCB with soldered pins.
I think it's very funny that I made and sent you the PCB
for free and you said I didn't ship it. I actually shipped
the item when you first asked me.
Now that I've refunded you the money, the mailed item is a
gift to you. This is just outrageous.

One thing that really bugs me about their site is
there is no customer account login to check status of
pending orders.
That plus the fact that there is no communication
about "order received" nor any info about tracking number.
I waited an entire 7 day week after charging it to my
credit card and not a peep. I canceled the order and
opened a credit card dispute.
Not my first rodeo. This is unacceptable.

Anyone here have any experience with the new
DGM01 tube?
I ask because I am getting very concerned over
the fact that I ordered one tube
to test an entire 7 day week ago, and have not
heard back nor gotten a tracking number
for the shipping. Their web site has no
customer account sign-in, nor does it have any
way to check up on the status of pending orders.
Comments? Anyone?
