Hey, Gene - did you know that the Mustang was built on the Falcon chassis?  
That was what gave Ford car division a new lease on life.  
And, remember the Sunbeam Alpine?  Chrysler bought the company; wanting to make 
it peppier against the competition, they added a Ford V8.  It  went faster, of 
course, than the standard I-4; and, got better mileage.  The standard 5-year 
warranty applied to the I-4; the V-8 only had a 2-year warranty. 
I liked the Shelby - looks and power, but not the greatest handling...
