A leak down tester will tell you if is the rings or the valves and if it is the valves you can hear the air escaping so you'll know whether it is intake or exhaust. Yes sport bikes do not have hydraulic lifters and require valve lash adjustment. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

I'm still a little new to the language. Does rebuild mean all new pieces? Allen: I hear sport bikes are inherently complicated. Is that the reason you mentioned that? Besides telling me the location of a leak, what else could I glean from a leak down tester? Thanks!
