Kiwi does that change anything you stated before about the hoses being run to and from the charcoal canister from everything I can tell it seems to be a California model but I can't see any designation of that nor can I find the Pcv valve I have the Haynes manual and it says the two hoses running out of the canister one goes to the Pcv valve which I can't seem to locate and one goes to the fuel tank for fuel vapor emissions etc. So the two going into the canister is one the crankcase breather and the other the valve cover ? Sorry to be hungup on this your the only one I've talked online who seems to be knowledgeable on the subject I'm interested in keeping the bike stock. But I'm guessing what your saying is it should still run decent if the carbs are working properly no matter how the hoses are run.
