Kai Zheng commented on YETUS-222:
---------------------------------
Thanks [~aw] for the review and comments.
bq. The ISAL library is still sitting in Debian unstable and I have no idea
where RH or CentOS are at with it.
Yes. Intel ISA-L team is working on the more support. I will update to the
community once any more support available. Generally, I thought it would take
some time as it involves more 3rd parties or vendors. Another fact is that most
ISA-L customers would prefer to build the library by themselves on their target
platforms directly.
bq. The -Disal.lib entry should either be removed or there needs to be some
code added to actually locate where on the host those libraries are located.
Library locations are not portable, even across the Linux vendors.
Yes, you're right!!! I forgot removing the option after I tested the bundling
stuff with {{-Dbundle.isal}} being specified in the docker box. The option is
only required when want to bundle the library, but so far we won't bundle any
native libraries in the building, as discussed above. For the building process
(in cmake), yes as you said the tool chain can locate the installed library by
itself. Will update the patch accordingly.
