To Kissing Rain Hotmail has a policy of identifying the originating IP address of all email messages it transports. It does this to discourage people from using hotmail to send anonymous messages. Kissing Rain is at IP address 64.230.73.72. When I do a reverse name lookup I get HSE-Ottawa-ppp236455.sympatico.ca. All the messages from Kissing Rain originated from this address. This was 5 minutes work. I expect that sympatico would reveal the owner of this account if requested and if given evidence of it being used for anonymous slander.
