By no means, do I want anyone to think I was knocking in any way Necromancer games. I think they accomplish their stated goal of "Third edition rules, First edition feel", very well.  The same with Chaosium. They make good games. One problem stands, though....The OGC delaration fixes would be as simple as putting up an Errata notice on their website....Something WOTC does with Microsoft's regularity. A fix that easy should always be done. It would show support for the community. Even in a "cottage industry", Customer service and support are still the # 1 things that drive new sales. A vocal detractor turned into a vocal supporter by a good experience could trigger a great deal of sales. Word of mouth. Biggest advertising vector there is....especially among gamers.

Really, to my mind, OGC doesn't register with the majority of consumers.
It's the usefulness of the book, or its look, or some other quality of the
product that catches their eye and says to them "This is a purchase I want
to make." The notion that the average consumer is going to pick up a book
and say "Well, if I were going to write a d20 book, how much OGC would I be
able to use from this book?" is simply not a reality that I can easily
envision.
