FWIW, I disagree. I think it makes better strategic sense to push the
OGD1 PCB through to production and sale, and THEN switch over to helping
with the documentation effort. Especially since I understand this is not
far off.

In fact, if the latest round of changes (the Gumstix stuff) is going to
endanger that, I would like to make an impassioned plea to just ditch
them and go towards getting that production run out the door. "A bird in
the hand..."

I realize that that is tough on Timothy, Andy, and Howard -- but having
that first physical output from the project is REALLY important for
credibility and marketing, both of OGP, and of Open Hardware as a viable
endeavor.

I think everybody reading this probably knows that this board is not
only possible, but nearly ready to go. But there's still a lot of the
world out there that will be surprised, if not *shocked* that OGP has
actually produced something real and saleable.

Not only will that loosen up some funding sources, to relieve some of
the concerns Tim has mentioned here, but it will also encourage more
interest in cooperating with the project -- which will in turn make the
documentation project a little easier.

Cheers,
Terry
