Hi Randall,

What a surprise to see the Performer town in DX!
I'm just curious, why you are doing it?

This is the first I've heard of the OpenSceneGraph
effort (where have I been?) - thanks for bringing
it to my attention. Do you know many downloads there
have been?

VRML 1.0 is a subset of Inventor 2.1 with some extra
net nodes. It should not to be confused with VRML 97
which uses a reformulated node scheme (R.I.P.).

BTW: TGS OpenInventor sticks to the original node scheme
of 2.1 and performs well on PCs plus it offers multithreading,
multipipe volume rendering and several other extensions to
the original API (though object math isn't one of them!)
see www.tgs.com.
