Hmmm...I'm sorry I wan't too clear in my earlier message; Chris, If you need DX-Inventor you should already have it in the DXtoVRML exporter that Chris Kline wrote at the CTC about six years ago. VRML 1.0 <= Inventor 2.1: just change the filename extension from .wrl to .iv and change the first line of the file from #VRML V1.0 ascii to #Inventor V2.0 ascii and don't use the URL field in the exporter cause Inventor doesn't have those. The VRML 2.0 exporter that was built into the last commercial relears of DX writes VRML 2.0 files which require more work to convert to Inventor.
