Chris,
I've been developing stuff on LinuxPPC on a G3 laptop now for a couple of
weeks. I haven't started doing any really big networks--but the speed in
test networks is just outstanding. In fact, with software rendering--I can
rotate sealevel.bin about as fast as with the O2's in hardware (well
almost). If you are thinking about LinuxPPC, I'd suggest going with
YellowDog linux (it's better supported).
I'm slowly tracking down bugs and working things out. Rick has been great
helping out with the Lesstif stuff. We are slowly getting things working
better all the time.
