Right, the last thing we need are more lawyers!  I think the open source
movment works best when it is for a product which is good but no longer
supported.  For instance, 3dfx just opensourced it's VooDoo drivers.  While
3dfx doesn't plan on writing any (new) drivers for the Mac, it will enable
some people an opportunity to tweak the code so the cards work properly with
their computers.
