Well the only thing I can say about the update that I did is there is a
speed improvement in both application running and in the finder. As for all
the devices I have added to my PowerMac 4400 they are all running fine and a
bit faster than there were before, used testing programs to chart the
differences between the two OS's with my hardware.
So as for a Rom patching process.. I can not say but for what I got for the
upgrade.. I am happy.
My 4400 has and Ibot, 60 Gig firewire drive, 2100 Ez CDRW firewire, 10 Gig
IDE harddrive, 160 meg of ram, ATI radeon card and Apple's Ethernet card..
All of these devices are working at a noticable speed improvement over OS
9.1 including the startup process from power up.
