This is interesting, the advantages of IDE being? Cost, bigger available HDs? What about speed? I have been thinking for some time of getting faster HDs (all mine are very standard (I think 7200 rpm) including an 18G one that I decided to keep outside in a box because of its heat. I take it that a PCI card is needed, easy to get? How much?
