Agreed! I destroyed an expensive SCSI LVD ribbon cable for my 7500 while 
installing a SCSI card in a PCI slot.

Or you could remove the metal chassis corner piece located behind the hard 
drive in the 73/75/7600's. It is not soldered, only pressed in place. Then you 
can carefully thread the IDE ribbon cable from the PCI card through this new 
opening to the upper and/or lower drive bay.
