Did you restart or reset the DSL modem? They 'learn' the Mac address of the first device they're connected to, in this case your 7300.
How to do this depends on the modem. ON many just turning the modem off for a while works, other have a reset switch to press (often hidden behind a tiny hole requiring a HighTechTool, aka a bent paper clip, to press. then plug in the router and all should be fine. This should be mentioned in the router manual.
