The fastest PowerTower Pro came with a 250 MHz processor card, which is, as far as I know, the fastest (non-Mach V) 604e card ever made. The processor cards are interchangeable among PCI Macs and the PowerTower Pro models, and probably with SuperMac J700 and S900 models, though IIRC the cards that came with the SuperMacs are too big for some of the other machines.
One of the S900 models, BTW, also came with a 250 MHz 604e card. From my own experience and from what I've read on some of these lists, though, the SuperMacs are more problematic than the Apple and Power Computing machines, especially regarding the PCI slots.

I agree, I have a PTP 250 I bought new in 1997 and was $1,000.00 less than the 9500 at the time and I even got an extra 64MB RAM for my $2700.00. The PTP has always worked flawlessly for me and has a lot of room to add stuff.
The PowerComputing tech support was good while it lasted too.
At one point I had 6 hard drives and 2 optical drives 1 zip drive and 1 Jaz drive installed. And the bottom of the case had room for more........
There are some nice deals on the PTP's on Ebay if you watch.
