Talking about 604's using "pure".
Have still in use:
8500/120 as Print-Mac.
8600/200 as AV-Mac.
9500/120 with a G3/300/300 as Archives-Mac and for SCSI-backup-drives.
9600/350 for SCSI-scanners/CD-burner.
Together with my other Macs (from SE/30 to QS DP 1GHz) and ethernetprinters
all in my LAN.
If I have to choose between my 604's (upgraded or not) the orig. 9600/350
will be the absolute favourite. Why? Because:
1) It's my most stable Mac besides the QS.
2) It's my most stable 604 using PCI-cards.
3) It's the fastest 604 (With certain appl. even faster than my 9500/G3, my
beige G3/266 or my "blueberry" iMac/350).

The conf. of my 9600/350:
RAM: 10 x 128MB + 2 x 64MB (= 1408MB). This conf. is used to can interleave
AND still have the poss. of using VM, which can be usefull but is impossible
using the full possibility of 1536MB RAM).
PCI:
OEM videocard + AMS 20"
Combo-card: 2 x USB, 2 x FW ex, 1 x FW int.
Fastethernet 10/100
Voodoo 2 + ACS 20"
Acard AEC-6260Mb + 40GB + 120GB Hitachi/IBM HD's (intern)
Atto SW.SCSI + 4 x seagate Barr. 9GB in raid (ext. in 2 x DataDock)
Intern:
OEM HD: 4GB
Zip 100
Floppy
Extern:
Heidelberg Linotype Saphir Ultra
Nikon LS-2000
UMAX Astra 1220S
LaCie CD-burner 8x
In LAN connected to ADSL (4480/704 Kbit/s)
Printerport: Still an old CSW 2500 for fast printing
Modemport: GV TPP-modem for SMS

JMOC and HTH,

Jo
