I'll second that recommendation -- I did the C25k program this past
spring, with my daughter!  She is 12, and I was 42... it was a great
way for us to spend time together, working on a common goal & being
active.  We both started from nothing, so to speak, as runners, and
worked up to a 5k.  It was a great break from the usual
mother-daughter dynamic. (It's harder to argue when you're both
gasping for air!)   We've relaxed our training over the summer, but we
still enjoy getting out when we can & will ramp back up this fall.

Congrats to you, btw!!  A huge accomplishment!
