After looking at John's second set of pics, I have to say this..... This phono was DOUBLE BOXED!!! Just think of what might have happened to it if it were NOT double boxed!!! Obviously though, boxing only, will not protect an item if it there is no other protection.
That said, John, I too, got sick when I saw your pics. Only a collector could know what you are going through. On the brighter side, the AS machines are still turning up.
