Could you show me in my own comment added to that bug, or comment from

You want me to continue the silly argument to prove that you're behaving
rationally? Hehe.
Arguments ad hominem are much easier, and if you get away with that, you
can just skip the facts altogether, right? How much faster and more
convenient: I know you don't like me, not listening, lalalalala.
Read the bug once more and slowly:
Bug submitter (me): pkg install/uninstall of a simple package takes too
long
IPS team (represented by Shawn): IPS is so cool, look at these features?
Really, very to the point and factual.
And now be honest with yourself. Simple question, how would you rate IPS
performance on a simple no dependencies or anything fancy package? Still
not seeing the point before irrational efforts to blur the focus?
I hope that IPS development team will be able to present comparisons of
performance against other packaging systems before Solaris Next release.
Shawn initially made this point in the bug report. You're still not
making relevant comparisions between products. We've been improving our
performance, we're going to continue to improve our performance. Our
packaging system has correctness constraints. Unless you're comparing
it against something that takes the same considerations into account
when installing and upgrading packages, you're not making a correct or
fair comparison.
Then share your performance goals. Don't be shy and boast a little. How
much faster and when can we be eagerly anticipating?
We might be the best in self-defined category of one. Question is, will
great reasoning why we cannot be but slow help over the competitors? I
am afraid Marin is right and it really all does come to: well, might be
slightly less nice, but is several times faster... I got a winner for my
systems. Their story is moving, but so what?
