Again, i tend to disagree.
1. Distro makers tend to always want to 'catch up' to brand spanking new
versions of packages, something we don't really need, and which at times
break applications already being used, prompting at least another rebuild.
For instance, I don't really mind if a customised mdk or rhat still uses
glibc 2.1, as long as it runs, and it runs well, and is secure.
2. Distro makers tend to focus on a _general solution_, which is my basic
problem with using off the shelf distros. We need a customised distro
based on an already existing one that is specifically targeted to work
with one objective in mind, and only that.
