Hello:

For a few years now I have been hoping to find a way to use my J. River
Media Center as a "front end" to drive my Squeezeboxes. I originally had
a Squeezebox 3 ("Classic") but have recently upgraded to a Squeezebox
Touch. With delivery of my Touch I decided to research this again and
have come across Whitebear. It looks like just what I've been looking
for!

I am on Windows 7 Ultimate, JRMC 15.0.174 and Squeezebox Server 7.5.3 -
r31792. I have downloaded and installed Whitebear Media Server
2.1.0.1433 ... and it works! Music is actually coming from my system
driven by the Squeezebox Touch as requested via the J. River Media
Center. This is great! Andrew, thank you so much for the work behind
this.

I do have a few questions:

1)... when I open Squeezebox Server by opening "web control" the music
stream is being recognized as a Internet Radio station (and the Touch's
display shows the subdued gray radio antenna icon). Is this normal?

2)... it also shows the stream as 320kps with an "mp3" extension. All
my files are FLAC. Are they being streamed as FLAC or MP3?

I also have several procedural questions which I'm confused about but
I'll wait to hear back on these two first.

Thanks very much,

Dave
