I'd guess that about 2/3rds of the artwork shows up and the same artwork is visible each time.
I've got about 8000 songs and the server has 4gb of ram. When I first installed Squeeze Control, less than half of the artwork showed up. I did a full rescan of the library and more of the artwork started showing up. Subsequent rescans haven't increased the artwork shown. Note that this only happens in "Album" view.
