Does all artwork not show, or do some show up? How much ram do you have in your server? Do you have a very large music collection, ie. 10k+ songs? It's hard to say exactly what the problem is but the most likely case is that the server isn't able to keep up with the image requests and is taking too long to respond to them. On the device, the image loads are just timing out. On a high resolution device like the S4, each thumbnail is a minimum of 150x150 multiplied by how ever many albums that has scrolled by. That can end up being a pretty hard load on the server. I have an old netbook with windows 7 and those older atoms are not the speediest things around.
