I wish it were so. When you uncheck Standard Config, you can set any character you wish for Expression Follows, but the Esc char box only takes a check for ' or a grey-check for \ or nothing for none. > to assist in those that like making scripts for others in the > powerpro community a way to have a predictable set of advanced > options checked so a shared script would work on the destination > system more predictably without needing tweaking...as long as > everyone had the same standard configuration option checked. Understood. But if we had a wider choice for esc, I could start a sub-culture of people who swap scripts using for escape. > ... and with Bruces recommendation ... Yeah lets blame Bruce <grin> That's not how I remember it though... perhaps it was another writer who wanted \ and failed to setup a drug test at the polling booth lest sober voters make a sensible choice. ;-) ------------------------------------------------ As a workaround for this complete dummy here: being allergic to unwarranted complexity, I don't use the standard config. I seldom download scripts. If I ever do, I'll edit it, which will be a tedious job but not half as tedious as using \ for escape throughout my own config.
