I'm trying to charge the battery with the Duo 230 adaptor for the time being, and I let it charge for about 6 hours today, and the machine wont power up. Would it take significantly longer to charge with this adaptor (~20 watt) versus a real 1400 adaptor (~45 watt)? If so, any idea how much longer?

When its plugged in, the green light in the upper right hand corner comes on, if that means anything. Is it possible to actually boot the machine with this adaptor, or would it put out too little juice?

Also, would this machine boot with a dead PRAM battery? Maybe that's the problem?

Also, for those who responded about the Vimage Vpower G3 upgrade, how much ram are you running with? Could a ram shortage be causing problems with powering up?

If this neat little machine does decide to work for me, does anyone know where I can find an inexpensive CD module for it? (other than ebay, preferably)

Thanks in advance,

Jason

I use a Duo adapter on my 1400c/183; I think the only drawback is that it

IIRC, the Duo 2300c's OE adapter has a little more juice than the rest of
them for the 210-280c; so that model of AC adapter might be more desirable.
