The error powermail pops up is:

The bit I posted is from the only maillog I have (I think).  I had a
search around on the server but couldn't find anything.  I really don't
want to have to move to slow old apple mail just so I can send a email.
If you know of a way I can grab the SMTP conversation I'll give it a try
(packet sniffer?).
