Select the messages in the mail browser, then click on the last button in
the toolbar ("Send"). This resets them for sending when they failed the
first time (say, you forgot to plug your ethernet cable back in and
weren't connected to the internet, which would cause a failure). _Then_
do a check for mail and they should go.
A nuisance it seems, but maybe this was a intended function to help with
troubleshooting messages that didn't send... so you could see what ones
failed before they went out when you checked for mail again (? - your
guess is as good as mine).
I'd rather have messages I've indicated to be sent _to be sent_,
especially if the failure reason was "no internet connection". But anyways...
