I got excited when I heard about this scanner. However looking at the spec
on the web I'm not sure it will be of interest to a pro.

Specifically, the spec mentions the use of a "grain reducing" filter. This
is a hardware device (anti-alisaing filter by another name?).  Although it
says this can be switched off the spec also seems to say that it is
obligatory if you are using Digital ICE.

Now, I sometimes want some grain, but want the image with Digital ICE dirt
removal. This doesn't seem possible.

I'm also worried by what the grain reduction filter does to image quality.

I guess that the only thing to do is wait for a review to see whether these
worries are unfounded.
