I got excited when I heard about this scanner. However looking at the spec on the web I'm not sure it will be of interest to a pro.
Specifically, the spec mentions the use of a "grain reducing" filter. This is a hardware device (anti-alisaing filter by another name?). Although it says this can be switched off the spec also seems to say that it is obligatory if you are using Digital ICE. Now, I sometimes want some grain, but want the image with Digital ICE dirt removal. This doesn't seem possible. I'm also worried by what the grain reduction filter does to image quality. I guess that the only thing to do is wait for a review to see whether these worries are unfounded.
