I thought you may be seeing something like this: http://shangarasingh.com/1290-tv-lines.jpg I've increased the contrast a little to show them more clearly. I'm getting these lines on some cheepo glossy Tefnal paper that I bought for general printing. SmallGamut inks on a 1290.
