it is a Jpeg, to be fair.
maybe you need to full size Tiff from the verification kit?

this is the Pixl/NB testimage from the site?
I guess it's fair to say that it's not really made for printer
smoothness testing. If you want to know how to do that, call me.

I've seen this too
I'm hearing about quite a few troublesome Canon printers, it's a shame
because speed and colour are nice.
