Don't follow what you mean... I noticed the issue first when I was working on an image of a car. The gradated side of the car showed the lines up a treat.
The lines I'm seeing with the 1290 do not appear on all papers. That makes me think it's not necessarily a printer problem.
Hmmm... I'm using the ink/paper combo which Canon recommend for the best photographic prints...
