I too bought an Iomega CDR USB2 which works fine on both PCs, but not on the Mac running System 9 using Iomega HotBurn.......so I did everything I could to make it work, and in the end I took it back to the shop for a refund. The problem is that MacOS 9 recognises USB2 as being USB1 and then conflicts with the Iomega firmware. What you need is a CDR firewire drive - no problemo.
