Create a temporary Mac volume. Dump some digital images on it. Burn the
VOLUME onto a CD-ROM. Insert the CD-ROM in your PC's CD drive. Now try
opening the files. What do you see?
The above is akin to taking your Mac formatted Firewire drive and trying to
"mount" it on the PC desktop WITHOUT installing additional software. If the
PC had no problems seeing a Mac volume, there would be no need for this
thread.
