Would anyone be up to a mini challenge?I think it all depends on what camera you are using, for Nikon and Fuji users the general opinion is that their own brand of software or Photoshop camera raw is best but Canon owners seem to prefer C1 over camera raw.
1 RAW file and a C1 expert to get the best out of it and a separate Camera RAW expert to do the best with the same file.
I am interested in C1 but have found its workflow to be a bit clunky - but if the images are better then it is worth another look
Personally I have got much better results using Photoshop Camera Raw than the demo of C1 (but I am using Fuji and Nikon cameras!!), and have set my own Camera Raw profiles to (hopefully) get the best out of the raw images which now makes for a very easy workflow.
Like you I found C1 a bit too 'clunky' but I guess it depends on the camera and the person using it!
But I am more than happy to be proved wrong and would happily buy C1 if it improved my workflow or quality of image.
Cheers
