I don't see the point. I KNOW from my tests that C1 is superior to PS RAW for my 1ds files. I stated this in an earlier post. As I see it you don't believe me. Fine. Why would you believe anyone else?
Calm down!
I said nothing about not believing you!
I am simply interested to see what results can be gained from C1 over Camera RAW.
I have seen many industry leading experts, such as Bruce Fraser and Jeff Schewe who think Camera RAW is better than C1, but am interested if C1 really is better.
The best solution is for you to try it for yourself. You will then know it works for your type of file.
I could try and indeed have but have not found a major difference, but perhaps that is because I am more familiar with Camera RAW, which is why I was interested in what experts with both can achieve.
Although there are a few shortcomings to the C1 workflow these are relatively easy to overcome and are nuisances rather than problems with the process.
The workflow was the thing that put me off, plus I like the interpolation possibilities in Camera RAW.
Please don't mistake my inquiring with disputing your expertise. Hopefully, like most on this list I am, keen to try new things and always learn.
