By shifting the panes about in the File Browser window you can have several different workspaces. For example one with lots of info and smaller previews, then one with no info and huge previews.
Works a treat.

There are times when you want to evaluate a CameraRaw image without opening
it first. I know you can enlarge the Preview palette but that's not really
an elegant solution, IMO.
