Not pig-ware, designing around memory consumption was just not one of
Protel's priorities while developing the software.  I for one am glad that
they concentrate on improving capabilities of their product instead of
making the most memory optimized possible routines.  I have only seen P99SE
sp6 crash once since the release of SP6 and it was on an exit.  For this
level of stability and available features, I don't mind putting 512mb in my
system for the extra 150$ it would cost above having 128mb.  As for using a
large swap file taking up HD space, have you seen the ridiculous cost of
above 20 gig HDs today.  Also, I have 5 other application which require the
one gig or more, I think that the 1 gig barrier will soon be typical if it
is not already with large software packages.
