Hi Tim,

I don't use the Protel simulator (yet?), but do use Electronic Workbench
(Multisim), and have found their website>>free technical support, to be
helpful with finding ways to eliminate errors during simulation.

Maybe there are some tips there that could apply to the spice models in the
protel simulator?...

Look at www.electronicsworkbench.com, in tech support, EWB5.x, then in
simulation/analysis, and also in the technical discussion section of ewb5.x,
there's a lot of info showing other peoples errors (and possible fixes), as well
as good explanations of what is happening "behind the scenes" with the
simulation. I personally find this useful, as I don't really have a huge
understanding of how the algorithms work, and what some of the parameters
are really doing.

Good luck.
Liane
