Tim,

There is a little white hand on the toolbar that will stop the sim.

If you do not have that little hand visible then you can call the 
SIM:StopSimulator process directly from the Run Process dialog (no 
parameters needed).

You can then add the missing StopSimulation proces to a menu or the toolbar.
