The statement "lots of case fans" lets me think about our server (HP LC3). It has two enormous fans, which keeps the machine cool. But I wouldn't like to have this machine in my office, because it's quite noisy. Otherwise, it would be a nice and very robust system, even though it's already a bit old (means slow) for a workstation. Have you thought about a server-class machine? I'm pleased with HP.
