Well, you just described me.  I knew nothing of camping before getting into
Royal Rangers 6 years ago.  I had never slept in a tent prior to our LTC
overnighter, which was for the SA/B LTC.  I bought books and read them, I
listened to those who had the experience, etc.  In short, I worked at it.
