the arabs lived in a fudal sociey, the effindis made the lower classes work
the land? they didn't own it any more than black slaves in the south owned the
farms they worked on.
none the less i believe they have gotten quite enough of it.
you made a good point however about them being used by the land owners and
blackmailed by them. but i guess we shouldn't question how arabs treat arabs?
only jews?
at least they can vote and have a lot more rights than in the surrounding arab
countries.
no one says israel is perfect, but i would like to see a lot more criticism of
the barbarism of arab countries and a lot less on israel trying no matter
whether you agree with it to defend themselves from terrorist attacks.
any one got any ideas besides just giving it all to them and moveing. i would
like to hear it.

One side wanted to keep the land that they farmed. Absentee landlords were
in many instances not owners at all but highway men who collected
protection money to leave them alone. They had no rights in the land but
the people who farmed it did and in many cases in the region no one
bothers with written deeds because few could even read and write. It just
wasn't the custom. As for sharing, why? Jews acquired over 70% (some say
more) and even the terrories are only situate on about 22% of their
original territory with all the best geography and resources going to the
Israelis. There is nothing inherently fair about that.
